Hey all, I'm looking to step up my at home coffee brewing abilities and after reading all sorts of general advice I'll be focusing my first purchase for this endeavor on a grinder (I already have a french press and a decent-enough espresso machine).

One thing i just noticed is that under the arms where the scale is on the sette 270w there appears to be a red flashing light constantly on, even when the grinder is in standby mode several hours after use. Is this normal?

I have a Ponte Vecchio Lusso on the way, and am considering the grinder to go with it. I had been eyeing the Baratza Sette 270W, but I noticed the Baratza website says it's compatible with portafilters from 49mm to 58mm, and from what I've read the Lusso has a 45mm portafilter....
