I'm new to home espresso, machine shows up in the next day or two. Grinder shows up Mon or Tues. I'm impatient, so I went down to a Voyager Coffee nearby and got an espresso grind of about a 1/2lb of their Cascade blend to get me started.

I bought 5lbs of my favorite espresso beans, in separate 10oz bags. They were roasted 4 days ago. I plan to vacuum seal and freeze the portions in not using, but how long off roast should I wait? thanks!

Just picked up two pounds of freshly-roasted espresso blend from my favorite local roaster. I know I need to let it rest a day or two before using it, but what about the portion I will vacuum-pack and freeze?

Is it about greens or roasted? I'd love to hear more and wish I could get education about anything coffee near me. But there isn't squat by way of this kind of thing near where I live.
