New Low End Machine Owner (Saeko Aroma): Is that a knockbox?

Hi, everyone. Well, we followed instructions and sent a tank full of water (we use a deionizer at home to make mineral-free water) and second pull was really, really good. We are excited. "Steampunk" KnockBox

Here is a cheap little knockbox I made, mostly from parts from Wal-Mart. It cost, in total including the running shot timer, $20. Took a little over a day if you include the time it took for epoxy to set. {image} Hope you like, let me know your thoughts! Cheers!

Building an actual knockbox

So i can't find one with 304 stainless steel polished on one side like my quickmill. I sourced some companies and the knockbox can be made (outer housing). Surprisingly, it's not that expensive. I should start making these!

I use it like a knockbox, while my wife puts banana peels and other vegetable remnants inside. After a couple of days we take it out and dump it on the compost pile. We have a

DIY down-the-drain knockbox

I've just made a down-the-drain knockbox. I always put my spent grounds down the garbage disposal, so this seemed like a handy device, since my sink is right next to my machine. I bought the standard "Modern Knock Box Bar" from WLL for 6 ...

Power shopping: Elegant knockbox, cheap.

Here in Boise ID, we have Macy's and Dillard's for snooty department stores. The mall is on my way home on my bike so I stop once a week to see what has moved from the "50% off" rack to the "50% off lowest price" rack. Few days ago, housewares was liquidating these $40.00 beauties for $5.00. I bough...
