Rocket R58 - Arrival Issues

Thank you, drH and Mr. Kehn. Your posts made me feel much better. I'll give the wipes a shot. It looks like there was a small amount of drainage from the wand during shipping. The R58 was shipped double boxed. The outer box was huge with large foam inserts. My Rancilio Silvia from the same vendor was also packed extremely...

Great value in the Lelit Mara so far (2Y+)

Thx! I bumped it up a tiny bit to 9bars. Subjectively this morning - while extracting - it was "palpitating" noticeably more. Nobody has came up with a straight vane pump replacement kit yet for Maras - by any chance?

Fellow Ode brew grinder review

Im still waiting for mine to come. I really want to support Fellows but man so many excuses and people who backed a local kickstarter platform in Taiwan already got theirs months ago. I got the 1zpresso JP6 hand grinder and really like it so far. I had a Lido 3 but after a few years the catch cup on...

Latte art bubbling

If the coffee is ultra fresh (e.g., roasted a day or two ago), you can grind it and let it sit for a couple minutes. But before assuming it's a coffee problem, check out "How to practice latte art without coffee?" It offers several practice techniques that don't require coffee.

Share your origami dripper recipe!

@sugsugi ... Should have been more precise. The recipe I post is used for a red honey, anaerob Coffee from Columbia. It's an intense coffee with great bouquet of Peach, mango, orange, honey and vanilla. To taste them ALl I used this recipe which was given by the roaster. And it worked well. So I throw it in the round to have another opportunity...

Arco by goat story

Maybe my answer about the motor type was too vague. We are using what is commonly called a "universal motor" so a commutated series wound motor that runs on AC (but can run on DC also)

Rocket R58 - Arrival Issues

Was it shipped in a box or palleted? While small espresso machines can be shipped without much risk of damage, I believe it's money well spent to pallet larger ones (it adds a couple hundred dollars in shipping costs). While it's annoying that your espresso machine was jostled enough to work some components loose, if it were me, I'd be...
