FreshRoast SR800, Phidgets, and Artisan

I have been thinking of adding Phidgets to my SR800, but still just learning how to use the roaster. Seems like getting a smooth declining ROR is pretty difficult anyway given there isn't infinite control of fan and power. Ultimately, even with the Artisan data, that seems to be a limiting step. I am just brainstorming here, but could some...

Fellow Ode brew grinder review

Hmm, I'd personally argue the other way around. I wouldn't want to buy $200 burrs for a Niche, at that price point I expect burrs that don't need to be replaced. But I'm probably the exception in that regard, considering how many people put SSP burrs in their very high-end grinders

La Marzocco Linea Mini User Experience

You are certainly right. Mark from Chris's Coffee just got back to me very quick with a very great response. Clive was also pretty great. The other ones were lackluster in their response and it felt like they just wanted to make a sale, not a great experience. It seems that only Clive has the non-burn steam wands included. I'll...

Levercraft Ultra Grinder User Experience

Someone asked for pictures of the burrs earlier I believe. Here you go. The first pictures are dirty because that's how much retention is in the grinder. But I just remembered that I did try to suck out some of the grinds from the top with my hand-held vacuum so take that into consideration. The reason why I took it...

Rancilio Silvia pump not working

Check the wires running to it and the contact points. If the pump itself it hot to touch. You've got it.

You're welcome. If anyone can help with your machine it should be OE. Hmmm, weird... pm should be working fine as I'm getting them from other people. Here's the OE writeup of the 1948 version...
