Olympia Cremina shower screen

At some point Olympia started putting in a gasket to hold the shower in place while in the group. The earlier models didn't have this. The shower would just snap in. Does anyone know what year that change occurred?

Past and current Decent Espresso users, DE1+ or Pro?

The current pumps are already quiet, especially compared to a typical vibe pump. They are unique in the way they sound, sort of reminiscent of a Model T on Beverly Hillbillies in a comforting way. I don't find them objectionable at all. The dogs ignore them and my parrot doesn't mimic them.

Post a pic of your home espresso setup...

I've had great coffees and espressos from Supreme Roastworks for sure! I missed the exact world brew winning coffee when they still had the beans and brewed it the same way in the shop back when he won.

Faema Faemina Custom Replacement Spring

Assuming the additional 0.3 mm doesn't cause binding on the ID or OD, the spring fabricator should be able to fabricate one of the same length with very close to the same "rate" or "spring constant", based on the dimensions and number of turns in the coil and the material. The rate is the force required to compress the spring...

Switch off delay time before brew on Nuova Simonelli Oscar II

Air in the HX explains why it takes ~10 sec to build pressure into a blind basket following a cooling flush, but only ~4 sec following a backflush. However, that's with the 3 sec solenoid delay, so I'm not sure it accomplishes much. With no solenoid open the air can't escape though, right? The vibe certainly doesn't sound like it's...

Past and current Decent Espresso users, DE1+ or Pro?

Some days I make 5 shots a day. That would put me at almost 5.5 years if I literally made 5 shots every single day which isn't the case. I don't think the Pro is worth the extra $ unless you're a Cafe. If buying the pro gives you a stronger tingle in the morning that you bought a pro...

Faema Faemina Second Series Brown Handle Refurb [Finished]

I found my grinding wheel for my bench grinder so I shaved off about 1/4" of the base at one end to get it to fit on the bottom properly. Now that the feet are done I consider this project done. {image}

Breville Dual Boiler - Brew boiler overheating to 225 degrees

Awesome - thanks for the info. I'm just going to replace all the 007 O-rings, the ones on the leaky connections are quite shot. My machine does not have any washers - I guess Breville stopped using them? Also, does anyone know what size the PTFE washers need to be for the ball valve? https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073P6FNYW/ These were linked previously, but...

Help me upgrade from a Barista Express

I have owned a BE for almost 2 years now and I feel like it's time for an upgrade. I have recently purchased a Niche Zero and now need a coffee machine to go with it. My criteria's/needs 1) Good warm up time - I usually don't have much time in the morning and would like a machine that heats...
