Best grinder for home espresso

For single-dosing (espresso) I recommend a grinder with CONICAL burrs (it's much easier to dial in - in contrast to flat burrs), and with infinite (stepless) grind size setting. Conical grinders are very forgiving - even if the grind and the taste are not ideal, they are usually not too bad (in contrast to flat where a small mistake in grind size results in an undrinkable liquid) - there is no suc...

Great value in the Lelit Mara so far

Why are E61 espresso machines still being made?

I think there is something deeply satisfying about operating the lever. It's something like driving a manual transmission car. You feel more connected to the experience since you are physically controlling part of the process. I can imagine one gets even more of this experience operating a manual lever machine like a La Pavoni but I have not had the pleasure so far.

I’m parting with Rancilio Silvia, but not Ceado E7. So what espresso machine would be appropriate?

I know Dave Corby did a guide on modding the E92, but am not sure if he also did one for the E7, or if it's all that different. You could look on Bella barista UK, or do a search for it in google using keywords DavecUK and Ceado and E7.
