Lelit Bianca User Experience

Taking Jim's video as an example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Mf0srd57A8 Why wasn't the pressure dropping any lower and wasn't as responsive? It seems to me the lowest pressure it can go to in that shot probably not lower than 5 bars. Won't having more control range (360 degrees like the ECM) help with this ?

Breville Dual Boiler Learning Curve?

Dustin, (apologies for a very quick OT) I was the 2nd poster on the 15 page B W "The Natural", "Klatch Belle." etc. Medium roasts, roasted primarily for espresso. PM me, I'll give you a half dozen more. Again, apologies to all here. Just want to help. Of course, as Peter noted, the PF is perhaps incorrect. SCG has the...

Help me upgrade from a Barista Express

Adjustable preinfusion is new to a lot of home users. In my experience, it can be between valuable and essential for lighter roasts. With roasts continuing to tend lighter for "espresso roasts" coffees, variable PI and/or "flow control" are valuable features for a ten-year investment, in my mind.

First Timer Critique Please!

First time home roaster. Just used what I had around house which was Lynx grill basket and grill. I think my basket is too slow. 1st batch I screwed up the pour and lost to bbq grease trap. 2nd batch I burnt the crap out of it. This is #3. Honest thoughts? {image} {image}

Comments on Favorite Espressos 2020

One of my takeaways is noticing how blends can change. Neither Belle, which I had over a year ago two years ago, nor Dolce, which I have had in the past year a year and a half ago, were the same as I remember them. And I keep notes. edits: I looked at the dates in my journal. The last...

Expobar Brewtus IV-R safety valve leak

I have an approx 10 year old Expobar Brewtus IV-R. The last while it has developed a leak which is now quite brisk. I took it apart and it seems to be the safety valve (not the OPV), but it only leaks when the pump is running (lever up). Otherwise the boiler seams to maintain pressure and there is no...

Help me upgrade from a Barista Express

The Elizabeth is also a contender, however what puts me off is the looks. I prefer the look of the mara x in the lelit range. The Elizabeth isnt out my price range at all. Anybody had any experiences with the Profitec pro 300, seems like a good price for a DB. My question is how would the lack of...
