E61 analog thermometer

Thanks. That's an interesting thought. I hadn't considered that possibility

Is HG-1 Prime better and cheaper than Weber HG-2?

I'm curious whether or not the coated / pre-seasoned burrs on the HG-2 (and Weber Key) really affect grind quality or not. I've heard somewhere it gives more flavour clarity but also less body on the coated burrs. I was surprised the Key seemed more like a flat burr than conical to me when I first tried it.

New dose by weight Mignon from Eureka?

I asked Eureka about the Libra's suitability for filter coffee and this was their response: A bit disappointing, because I was looking for a flat-burr grind-by-weight companion grinder for my Sette 270Wi and the Libra seemed to fit the bill. I guess I could use a dosing cup, but my bigger concern is that filter coffee wasn't a design consideration

Is HG-1 Prime better and cheaper than Weber HG-2?

Even if it was for sale I wouldn't bother, I still get popcorning using the Weber lid on the HG-2 or Key. I'm sure there are better 3rd party options out there, or find / cut your own plastic lid if you don't mind the looks

Argos lever espresso machine by Odyssey Espresso

No need with Argos. When the piston is removed from the bore, the spring is loose

Argos lever espresso machine by Odyssey Espresso

I wonder how easy it is to switch the spring on the Argos. With machines like the Elektra MCaL people have to build "dedicated jigs" to replace the spring. Not something I would describe as easy

My hand grinder journey has ended

Looks like Commandante did best, no 1st place but also no 3rd place. Now you need to compare with 1zPresso K series (or J series)

Conical burr electric grinder with LESS clarity than Niche Zero?

You might want to consider trying a Baratza Vario with the original Ceramic burrs, they create a lot of fines and body, I remember giving me an interesting mix of over and under extracting that made coffees interesting. Oh, just noticed you also wanted decent pour-overs! Grinders with lots of fines / high body generally do NOT do so
