La Marzocco Linea Micra owner reviews

It was the case prior to the firmware update. After the firmware update that enabled line pressure preinfusion, i was under the assumption that LM chose to ignore the level sensor once you select "plumbed in" on the app (turns out all they did was disable the visual warning light). Sounds like they have not (yet) disabled the sensor on

On the micra, selecting plumbed-in on the app does not disable the no-water sensor, and I suspect the same is true in the mini, since part of the plumbing kit is a plate that disables the sensor

La Marzocco Linea Micra

He dos have a point that roasters of reasons cannot offer the absolute best coffees (cost and to small lot seizes) and the seizes they order are typically for several months, but all coffee has a set period from end of processing to when these shine, roasting after peak will never be all that great, this will ultimately lead

La Marzocco Linea Micra

Actually I'm tired of this. I did blind taste tests with my own roasts, designing the roasts to illustrate the difference between two kinds of machine. Now I am getting lectured by people who do not know how to roast, how to blind taste, or how to cup. On the other hand, maybe I should design a

I'm not sure what you mean? At least on the Mini, turning on preinfusion in the app means you have to click "agree" that you are plumbed in which automatically disables the low water safeties. The preinfusion itself works fine off the reservoir but you do lose the warning which is dangerous and requires vigilance. It's really annoying that they

You'll also need to "bypass the water level sensor." I don't know how to do this on the Micra; I did not notice any obvious mechanical or electric sensors; but i wasn't looking too hard either

1Zpresso ZP6 Special: The ZP6 is back

I tried 2 clicks from touch, and it only took 10s to get 30g water out of 15g beans on my 9bar modded Gaggia Classic. But that was pretty much right after I got the grinder, I'll try it again in a few weeks after putting more beans through and see if seasoning helps

Owner experience with Bezzera Strega

Maybe Bezzera uses 2 spring to be 'in balance' with the relatively high pre-infusion pressure by the pump? I agree with BSdV that the lower pressure makes for smoother shots. There is a pressure transducer on the way, so hopefully I can measure the pressure profiles of 1 and 2 springs within a couple of weeks

How to assess descaling progress?

When descaling using citric acid, I always take pics of each purge to evaluate progress and maintain separate pics for steam boiler and brew boiler as our machine is a double boiler. So I 'treat' the boilers separately. The colour for the purged liquid runs from dark green when there is a lot of scale to light green to
