Is there any way to use a TDS meter to ballpark the GH and KH of various waters assuming there is no CaC03 in them?

Olympia Cremina power lights, but won't heat up
Only the power light comes on.It does not heat up at all. I have emptied the water and flushed out the boiler with several rounds of clean water. Still does not heat up. Sounds like it needs to go to Orphan Espresso to get repaired. This is way out of my wheelhouse

I have a 1981 Cremina that was working well for espresso and milk based drinks. The machine sat unused for a few weeks with water sitting in the reservoir. 2 days ago, I went to make a cup but only the power light came on. I used the lever to pump some water out of the reservoir and all this

Ira, I have not experience with electric appliances or electronics. Do I just pry these plastic caps off? Should I use a needle nose pliers?

Help with resizing Bunn case for Bunnzilla mod
I have the Bunn almost dismantled, but I need to get the motor wires disconnected from the power cord. There are 2 wires to disconnect that are covered with a plastic cap. I am not familiar with this cap so I don't want to pry it off and break something. What should I do? {image}
