Steam tip for Izzo Alex Duetto?

What did you find and what suggestion did Chris offer? I have the no-burn wand and use the two-hole with the back hole plugged. Takes a little longer but has been the best solution I have found so far

Alex Duetto II "getting started" questions

Joel, congrats on your new setup. I too have the Duetto II and Vario combo. I have been using the Duetto for about a month and I am very pleased with it. Mine also came setup at 10 bar. I may try dropping it down to 9-9.5 but I have had great results at 10 so

Post a pic of your home espresso setup...

Here is my current setup with an Alex Duetto II, Mazzer Mini and Baratza Vario. I have switched out the water wand with the Andreja no-burn wand for better functionality as the Alex straight arm was somewhat limiting in its range of motion. I also just put on the no-burn steam wand but it is not in ...

Alex Duetto Mod: Cup tray handles

I have a Duetto II on order, and will make these mods as well. Still debating between the Mentor 270.4 and the VBM arc style handles. I found a couple places that sell both. I also plan to insulate the top of the steam boiler as well. Any issues with insulation on

Weighing in on tamping

Nixter mentioned trying to get the speed of his tamping motion dialed in to get better results. I have wondered if this plays a role as well. In the beginning of my journey I was very particular on position, level maintaining a square bottom surface to the coffee bed etc, and in doing this found tha...

Magnet to reduce static on Rocky doserless?

Tried and does not seem to have any effect as address7 pointed out in previous post. Oh well, worth a shot. I am having good luck using guitar string wrapped around the screws on the chute though for breaking up clumps

Magnet to reduce static on Rocky doserless?

I will play around with it and report back if I notice any effect. Maybe Bobenis was pulling our leg or on too much caffiene
