Rancilio Silvia MeCoffee PID failure & repair log.

Been running my Silvia with a "MeCoffee" PID for many years now. Just got back from a short trip, and it seems to no longer work. It powers on, the app shows the connection but the boiler never switches on and the app shows it at 100%. {image} Opening things up, I see some scorch marks (which may be

Gaggia Factory 105 leaking piston?

Any disassembly guides? I can probably figure it out, but would prefer to know what goes where. Then I'll take a look and see if it's the gaskets or more serious. Thanks

Gaggia Factory 105 leaking piston?

So... my Rancilio Silvia seems to have a dead PID, and while I work on fixing that I thought I'd dust off my old Gaggia Factory. After cleaning it and plugging it in, I'm finding that water pours out of the piston as it comes up to a boil. Thinking this means new seals, but wanted to get a second

Brewista scale stuck TARE/Timer buttons...

It seems my Brewista scale has developed a fault. The TARE and timer buttons are stuck on, so that every time I add beans, it resets to 0g and starts the timer. I think I could fix it, if I could figure out how to open the thing up. Anyone have any ideas? Edit: Looks like this is working

New Rancilio Silvia only at 9 bars?

Guess I'll just go a few turns coarser on the grind, though it's odd to me that it would just start jamming all of a sudden

New Rancilio Silvia only at 9 bars?

Hum... could swear the documented default is ~11-bar, and since portafilter measurements are lower than actual

New Rancilio Silvia only at 9 bars?

My new v5 Rancilio Silvia has started to struggle pulling shots. Nothing external has changed (beans, grind, etc) so I put together a portafilter pressure gauge. It seems to be showing only 9 bars, which seems... low. Anyone have any thoughts before I rip everything apart to adjust the over pressure...

Rancilio Silvia ferocious steam and quickly turns to not-so-hot air

Hum... have to say I don't have that issue with my v5 with meCoffee PID. I have to drain the steam line before use to get rid of condensation, but after that it's all good
