Changing steam tip to improve Breville Dual Boiler steam pressure

Hi everyone! Sorry, long time no talk.....just wanted to clarify on the steam tip discussion. What Peter has said is completely correct. The number of holes, diameter of the holes needs to be matched to the steam "system". This is not just about pressure, as ours runs at almost 2bar, its heavily inf...

Triple Basket for Breville BES920XL Dual Boiler?

900/A & 900/B are compatible and interchangable. The lugs on the /B are slightly thicker & are flatter. This gives them more "grip" on the ramps in the group-head & stops the PF spinning out under pressure. The 920 PF is NOT compatible with the 900/A/B. The ramps in the group-head have been redesign...

Quick look at Breville Dual Boiler Espresso Machine

On the Brew side of the machine, there are 2 separate NTCs, 1 for the Group element & the other for the brew boiler element. Both these sense temp and provide feedback to the 2 independant PIDs controlled through software to provide water delivered to a Scace device that is the same as the temp indi...

Quick look at Breville Dual Boiler Espresso Machine

Hi, I'd like to introduce myself, I'm Phil McKnight & I work for Breville in AUS. Just like to answer a few queries if I can. There is a separate PID that controls the element embedded in the group head, but it is not adjustable. The lugs on the PF/Group are proprietory & more "regular" patterns like

Proper distribution technique when "down dosing" using WDT

In my experience, dosing anywhere around the retention ring line in the basket has the potention to cause channeling. That is, right at the ring, slightly below or slight above. We had this problem for some time & no matter which barista was on shots, channeling could occur at any time. We have now ...
