Best grinder aesthetically for KDVW Speedster

They were out in the Ceado booth at SCA. That's the only grinder that's ever made me consider buying the show special on release because of the look. No knowledge and $6500 kind of got in the way

Any alternative to Behmor?

Far as I know the only difference between the 2 motors is a internal gear ratio that's different by 2-1. No clue what's better. Personally, I don't think it's possible to get consistently good roasts on a Behmor no matter what you do. Even with FrankenBehmor I had trouble. I passed FrankenBehmor on ...

Any alternative to Behmor?

Pull of the right side and fine the sensor bolted to the right rear side of the chamber. 2 small white wires as I remember. You can also add a resistor in series to make it think the temperature is lower. Or maybe it's in parallel, I forget. Use a switch so you can take it in and out

Any alternative to Behmor?

Then definitely fix the Behmor. As long as they supply spare parts, it will never wear out. You can put in the fast motor if you want, I forget which speed it will run at but it will work fine. You can also do things like loosen the screw on the temperature sensor at the right rear of the chamber

Best grinder aesthetically for KDVW Speedster

That Ceado is awesome thought I would have suggested the variable speed version, but there is no feedback I've seen on that grinder about how it grinds, so while stunningly beautiful, and probably really good, who knows. $7000 when the variable speed one came out a few years back so it made no penet...

Old Victoria Arduino Venus Bar - Documentation?

No, it should need nothing to seal, just don't over tighten it, snug + 1/4 turn at max to start, then check and a bit more if necessary

Any alternative to Behmor?

I'm not aware of anything that will do that. Most roasters are today are going for control and not big volume low cost like the Behmor. If you've been happy with the Behmor, I'd get a new motor and maybe a spare afterburner as they used to go bad. I hated the upgrade because of that darn new safety ...

ECM Elektronika I - Heats only for 1 cycle

Having a powered solder sucker like the Hakko FR301 makes all the difference removing parts like that. I use the Hakko but there are a lot of Chinese clones that claim to work the same, but I've never tried one

IKAWA Home - profiles

So for some reason I was thinking about Gary's comments about running 2 empty roasts to pre-heat the roaster. I never pre-heat the roaster as I don't seem to notice a difference but it crossed my mind that if we really want to heat the roaster would it make sense to create a pre-heat profile that ra...

Decent Espresso news

It comes with a 15amp plug so drawing more than that indicates would make it unable to be certified and sold as compliant and put them at risk of paying for my house if it burns down because of the Decent
