Pull of the right side and fine the sensor bolted to the right rear side of the chamber. 2 small white wires as I remember. You can also add a resistor in series to make it think the temperature is lower. Or maybe it's in parallel, I forget. Use a switch so you can take it in and out

No, it should need nothing to seal, just don't over tighten it, snug + 1/4 turn at max to start, then check and a bit more if necessary
