Izzo Alex Duetto 3 - Steam joystick installation
Chuck, I did the QM joystick upgrade on my Duetto 1, but it should be similar to yours. That gasket is going to go between the flare fitting and the end of the adapter. The gasket will absorb the deformation from the 90 degree angled inside edge of the adapter (so the flare doesn't take the deformat...

Izzo Alex Duetto prepinfusion causing brew temperature to rise
If I go mid position while plumbed in (regulator set to about 2 bar) more water comes out (compared to when plumbed source shut off) and the PID display stays put. My guess is that when there is no active source to the pump, steam boiler water/steam is getting to the brew boiler temp sensor through ...

Izzo Alex Duetto prepinfusion causing brew temperature to rise
Yep, this it it! I just tried shutting off the plumbed in source on my machine and guess what? In the mid handle position, the PID display climbs exactly as in your video. Problem solved!

Izzo Alex Duetto prepinfusion causing brew temperature to rise
I don't think the brew boiler relay is engaging since the brew boiler ON light of the PID display doesn't come on while you're over the set temp. At one point in the video it looked like the steam boiler pressure gauge dropped during the test

Izzo Alex Duetto mods and improvements
I put Vetrano joystick valves on my Duetto (first model) a few years ago. Got them from Chris Coffee and grabbed a couple adapters from McMaster. I'm pretty sure Chris has all the parts needed as they were offering to install them on new machines. {link} George

Burnt electrical in my espresso machine. Can you help me figure out what happened?
At the power switch it looks like a case of contact resistance and corrosion on the wires. I replaced the ones on my Duetto with high temp versions. The SSR looks only partially heat sinked. I used higher rated SSRs (amp rating) to stay within a cooler area of the temperature graph

Where to buy 6mm OD copper tubing
McMasters has 1 meter straight lengths BUT they say the straight lengths are not bendable (??). I've easily bent 1/4" tubing before so not sure why the 6mm is listed as not bendable. {link}
