La Marzocco GS/3 clogged gicleur revisited
You are completely right. I just hadn't noticed, it was a conical shape, and I had got the (wrong) idea that it was the nut that sealed in some way (and of course it isn't, it is hollow ) BTW, when I removed the old TL30 I found a bit of debris under it in the

La Marzocco GS/3 clogged gicleur revisited
Mission accomplished It seems to work as usual, I'll brew coffee later today. Flow rate with new gicleur is 550ml/min, a bit in the high end, compared to 500ml/min with the "maintenance free" version. And I'm just a little bit tired of removing the grouphead and emptying/refilling the boiler

La Marzocco GS/3 clogged gicleur revisited
Hi Eric, tnx for the links, but the "missing seal" (or the place I do not quite understand how gets leakproof) is not at the valve end, but at the grouphead end. My dealer says it's due to a conic shape, and he is probably right. Anyway, all parts are in stock, so I'll receive a TL30+valve saturday or

La Marzocco GS/3 clogged gicleur revisited
Tnx Eric, I'll probably do that. I have been looking at my photos of the TL30 and is wondering, what makes the joint between the TL30 and the grouphead center leakproof? There doesn't seem to be any gasket? I expect the seal to occur between the TL30 bottom and the bottom of the groupheadhole? {image}

La Marzocco GS/3 clogged gicleur revisited
Alas, after checking the valve seat and the TL30 seat and tightening the other end of TL30 in the grouphead, it is still "drip coffee". 6 ml in 100 minutes, but still too much The machine can be used while I wait for a new TL30, and if that doesn't solve it I might opt

La Marzocco GS/3 clogged gicleur revisited
It's dripping from the shower screen. As you write, it may be at the valve, or it could be the bolt in the grouphead. All gaskets are replaced

La Marzocco GS/3 clogged gicleur revisited
The picture is from before it got cleaned. Both gaskets in the grouphead were replaced, the paper one was totally dissolved, the o-ring could maybe have been reused, but it is too cheap not to replace after eight years. The drips originate through the dispersion screen. After a good nights sleep I g...

La Marzocco GS/3 clogged gicleur revisited
Well, some good news and a minor worrying issue ... Having reassembled my GS/3 after a thorough flush of the group and boiler, flow rate is stable a 500 ml/min. No leak from the group sealing and no leak behind the group. But ... occasional drips from the group head when idling I suppose, it

La Marzocco GS/3 clogged gicleur revisited
I'll try to get the original to work first, and I'll measure the flow rate when it is up and running. My group cap looks fine, no peeling at all and no residues. In the progress of starting the reassembly, I'm in doubt after watching Chris's video. He refers to a o-ring BEHIND the TL30, which I don'...
