we did the same thing to my vario...bought the necessary parts from Baratza....Im using metal burrs and have it at girlfriends for sunday brew coffee... grind i so void of fines its weierd to look at it

Yes I've read this entire thread. It just seemed it would be cleaner with cap but on end of threaded pipe I think blocking holes in the shower head is cleaner

I found some bolts with that thread diam. and pitch. At a company called Fastenol. They are 20 mm long and that's only size they carry. Part number is 48676C I am helping a friend and I do not have access to his BDB. Can you tell me what ideal length would be

Understanding La Pavoni Temperature Strips vs Shot Temperature
I have a La Pavoni 1st gen...my target temp from strip on grouphead is 196 F..grind should be fine enough that it initially it takes quite a bit of force to get flow (until puck starts to decay)...I mention this because as you know grind can have an effect on flavor balance
