Weber Workshops Key Mk. ii Grinder & User Experience
16g at an espresso setting or drip setting? Drip chews through beans because you're a full rotation or 350 microns coraser so a lot more throughput can occur

Weber Workshops Key Mk. ii Grinder & User Experience
2-year user of an MK1 Key. Love it. But love the upgrades of MK2 and am considering upgrading. I have a BATCH BREW question. If you're grinding 60-80g of coffee at a time, does the bean feeder struggle to feed the beans making it terribly slow? On MK1, I have abandoned the bean feeder

Pietro by Fiorenzato - vertical flat-burr manual grinders
Great review, thanks for sharing. Pietro staved off my urge for a dedicated high end pourover grinder. I'd love an EG1 ULF like you have but can't justify the price since I drink more espresso than pourover. For me, Key + Pietro is coffee bliss. Amazing espresso and pourover for $2500 retail is a st...

Pietro by Fiorenzato - vertical flat-burr manual grinders
Pietro fills a wonderful gap for most people on this forum, I think. Most of us are espresso drinkers. Many of us are also filter drinkers. Thus the constant conundrum of a 'grinder that can do both.' For a while, one didn't really exist. Then the Max SLM and Lagom 01 released to join the

Meaningful upgrade from Lelit Bianca V3
Not sure I follow or agree with that. I'm still not certain what you mean by contemporary espresso. Your review is actually one that made me go for the Micra. I actually considered waiting for the upcoming Bengle. But the heard the jingle "fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice...." I've found up...

Meaningful upgrade from Lelit Bianca V3
What is your definition of contemporary espresso? I pull Manhattan filter roasts perfectly with Micra/Key. Easy peasy. Preinfusion beyond stock is not required not spro-over allonge nonsense

Meaningful upgrade from Lelit Bianca V3
One other point. ALL espresso MACHINES HAVE PREINFUSION. Preinfusion has somehow become some sort of mystic 'feature' when the reality is every single machine has it. Preinfusion is the time from pump on to the coffee hitting pressure (sometimes referred to as the dwell). Flow Control or Line Pressu...

Meaningful upgrade from Lelit Bianca V3
You think the Key is not an 'extremely high quality grinder?' I've owned Monolith Flat and Monolith Max. I choose to own a Key because it's the best grinder I've ever owned. Not sure I understand what you're implying?

Weber Workshops Key Mk. ii Grinder & User Experience
I am an MK1, Kickstarter Key user. Absolutely love my Key. Had it for 2 years now. I highly recommend. I would love an MK2 and have considered upgrading and might still, for the slick magnetic lid, beanfeeder, and ability to go 30RPM on light roasts. That said, my Key can do MOST coffee fine
