La Marzocco Linea Mini User Experience
You are not going to get "slayer" shots by simply changing the gicleur. I agree with nuketopia, changing the flow restrictor is not worth it. I did not see any difference between 0.8 and 0.6 in the cup

La Marzocco Linea Mini User Experience
The pressure gauge reads between the pump and the group boiler. It's even before the gicleur. So the pressure at the puck is slightly lower. For example if you see the gauge indicates 9 bars then you would get 8.5 bars with a scace

Mods to La Marzocco Linea Mini
Finding someone to install a similar kit in the US might not be possible as I suspect it would be a patent infringement. I was wondering about that as well, especially since Slayer used to offer an external rotary pump. Though after installing a needle valve in the LMLM I came to the same conclusion...

Grinding finer increases the time to first drop but the pressure stays pretty much the same (1-2bars)

Well, it turns out the nut on the needle valve was loose and was causing that noise... No more noise after I tightened it. That being said there is still something not working as it should, making the whole thing not super effective. For some reason the pressure does not seem to build up properly. A...

Actually an expansion valve redirected to the pump input outlet (tee with reservoir hose) would probably do the trick. That's what CoffeeMachinist used in his original design if I remember correctly. Though his design was probably smarter and way less complicated

La Marzocco Linea Mini shot timer, automatic backflushing and flow profiling mods
I've been testing the flow profiling mod a bit more and I'm currently running in an issue. When used for a more "regular" preinfusion at 40ml/10s everything works great but when used for a more slayer like approach (~15ml/10s) then things are more complicated with the current setup. With such a low ...

haha, yes. You can also consider it to be a fun present I guess The reason I put it there was for easily remove it and changing the gicleur in the group head is a real pain. I did that because I wanted to compare the following configurations: 1. default LMLM: 0.8mm gicleur, 9bar pressure at

So for everyone who wants to put the 0.6mm gicleur there are two easier ways to do it (imo) than changing the 0.8mm gicleur in the group head. The 0.6 one can be put in the following pipe orifice: {image} One bolt need to be slightly loosen in order to move the pipe on the side to put
