Yes I understand all these points. I attempted to cure the problem with some of the ideas you have described, but eventually I just got tired of not having a consistent Temperature. I now use my water dispenser for auxiliary hot water

There seems to be some kind of clamp on there too. Would be interesting, just like the adjustment assembly, if that could be retrofitted. My Bunnzilla would appreciate it

I used one for a few years and the biggest problem is the temperature that the machine claims is not really what comes out. Eventually, I got tired of it and just replaced it with a temperature variable kettle

Buy the ssp burrs or the ditting burrs for the Bunn to do batch duty and then buy a used Bunn for cold brew? That's what I would do

There is another thread with a guy who had that same problem. I forget the name but just keep searching bunnzilla threads and you should fine it. He was baffled and then found very small rub at the very edge of the burr

So you have the ditting bunzilla burrs and the ssp? If so, I and I'm sure others would love to see another thread comparing the two sets

Not an expert, but maybe Ssp could either make you a replacement or (maybe a little more feasible) resharpen them for you
