Thanks for the video, that's super helpful. I'll give that a try next time I go to pull a shot

Post a pic of your home espresso setup...
Added the EG-1 to the setup a couple weeks ago and I'm really happy with it so far. {image}

Eureka Atom 75 vs Monolith/LCU/EG-1
Glad to hear it's not just me. I've never used any high uniformity burrs before, but as long as this won't be damaging to the burrs then I'll stick with them for now. The taste was pretty unique compared to what I'm used to from traditional espresso, pretty excited to try them out for v60 tomorrow

Eureka Atom 75 vs Monolith/LCU/EG-1
Hey so after a couple weeks with the EG I decided to swap the burrs out for the ultras. So far I've only pulled a couple shots with them but I'm grinding *very* fine. Probably only a couple full numbers from my zero point. The grinds are powdery and I imagine close to what most would call Turkish fine

Aillio Bullet R1 Roaster - how fast do they sell out?
Mine came in today. Did a few seasoning batches then roasted one of the pounds of coffee that sweet marias provided. Think I under roasted it a bit, will definitely take a few batches to get the hang of it but this thing seems awesome so far

Monolith Production Run Pre-Orders Announcement for 27 February
I imagine The Hoffman Effect will certainly have an impact. EG-1 grinders are already sold out on WW website

Good "cheap" French press and drip coffee grinder?
You really can't go wrong with the filtro or the encore for coarser ground stuff. You can pick used encores up all day for around $100, but having used both the encore and eureka grinders it might be worth spending the extra $100 for the filtro to get the better build quality. As another poster ment...

Comparing Baratza Sette 270Wi and Eureka Specialita
I've not used a specialita but I owned a Sette 270 for years and now own a Eureka Atom 75. In my experience both give really fluffy grinds, no clumping in either one. Though with the Atom 75 I have the "anti-static" piece removed from the grinds shoot, so if the specialita has one of those then

First time buyer, espresso machine budget up to $3500
You can definitely get an excellent dual boiler in that price range and it will not be over kill. For me the dual boiler is a more attractive option simply for the better heat stability. If it were me with that budget I would be looking at either the Rocket R58 or the Profitec Pro 700

Grinder upgrade - $3500 budget
I was in the same situation as you recently and decided to go with the EG-1 since it's the one that's most readily available. If you don't mind waiting for pre-orders and such though you can't go wrong with any of the Kafatek offerings or the Levercraft Ultra
