This is great stuff and I knew I would get great stuff right here at HB! I will have to do the test and listen closely. Currently, I am averaging 1330 KW and it runs about 130.82 p/m. And the rate is $0.004970

220V cost of electricty
Has anybody ever put the math on the calculator or done a practicle, real world test on what the difference is from running your 220v machine only when you need it, versus all the time, 24/7. I wonder if it is more like a hot water heater for the house where it gets the desired temperature and it ta...

Cafe Grumpy, New York's star
After college it doesn't get much better, mentally! I just purchased a boat load of tulip shaped capp and espresso cups and I wanted to buy at least six of the Teramike, but in all reality I couldn't mentally make the purchase because I couldn't make the jump from $6.00 a set to over $33. But they are

Sad state of espresso review journalism
I may be talking here out of turn. Meaning, I don't offer enough to this community to really be a critic on this topic. But, here goes: 1. In order for a "amateur or casual reviewer" to get serious, Marshall is right they have to stop looking through rose colored glasses. That takes a substantial

How important is tamping?
Personally, another question came to mind for me to pose to you: "If a tree falls in the woods and nobody is there to hear it, does it make a sound?" Hey, to your credit, I mistakenly put a non-tamped puck in once and actually realized I booboed. I then drank the shot. It sucked so hard

Seeking great espresso in Atlanta
There is nothing, absolutely nothing, like Octane: {link} Right downtown, about a half mile from the GT campus. Kind of a "trendy" neighborhood that is coming along. These folks have an obsession with quality

FAEMA S87 two group: Trying to resuscitate it, but no luck...
I have a S87. In fact, I own two of these birds. Now, if what your thinking is "OMG, I just found the guy who is going to fix my troubles." You're wrong. The man who labored over a complete restoration on one of these machines and sold both of them to
