Gevi Espresso Machine Help
My wife bought this off my friend who never used it for $50, just how bad is it and what's the best way to clean it out really well since it sat for a couple years? Is it even worth learning anything on for basic espresso? {link}

Which way does the filter go again? I know it was mentioned here but I can't find it. I've gone back to the V60, I can't seem to get decent results from the Pulsar. Seems to be bitter/rubbery tasting, and I'm always chasing the one and only brew I've ever made that tasted like I put some sugar in

Upgrade from Ode Gen 1 w/ gen 2 burrs
By consistency I meant grind consistency. Either my expectations are off or something is off inside the grinder, because there seem to be a lot of variance in grind size. I could be wrong and it could be normal though

Upgrade from Ode Gen 1 w/ gen 2 burrs
I don't, but I guess I should be. I've had these burrs since they came out so seasoning isn't the issue. I'm also just tired of how messy this thing is, but I guess RDT helps with that too. I don't necessarily want all that in my coffee either though, the chaff and fines. Doesn't that defeat the pur...

Upgrade from Ode Gen 1 w/ gen 2 burrs
I have the first Ode and upgraded it with the new hopper and gen 2 burrs, but be it the upgrade itch or what, I feel like it's not as consistent as I want. It was my first electric grinder so I'm not sure how consistent they should be, just seems like there's always a ton of fines in everything

I'd say that Unspecialty site is pretty accurate, before I uploaded the photo I thought this looked between 1000 and 1200 microns. {image} {image} This is 6.2 on my Ode with Gen 2 burrs. HB crushes resolution so the photo with the brewler looks horrible. Maybe this works better if you click it and t...

Nope, no swirling for me. I got sick and haven't made coffee since so I'll get back to experimenting soon. Maybe the beans are too fresh, I don't recall having this issue with other beans I used in the beginning

It was roasted about a week ago I believe... still very fresh. I tried going to 6.2, it initially flows at a decent rate but always slows down once the grinds settle and the water above the bed stays pretty clear. I'd say it was a little better today but still over 5 minutes. Maybe I'll try to filter

So if it's stalling out toward the end is it always grind size? I'm already grinding pretty coarse and my last two brews with Onyx Southern Weather have taking longer... This one was about 7 minutes or more. I have a gen 1 Ode with the gen 2 burrs and it's set to 6. 205 degree water and

Gen 1 Ode with Gen 2 Burrs Grind Size
I just bought a Brewler to eyeball the sizes, but it definitely seems close to 900 or even 1000 mark to me. I don't know why that is, I just calibrated it last night and the burrs were starting to make noise, I went one more click and they started actually chirping, so I backed it off one. Not sure
