La Marzocco Linea Micra
Curious to hear thoughts on high precision baskets from others as I've been curious myself. Upgraded from a BH Tamper and 3d printed WDT to Normcore when I got my Micra and they've been a nice upgrade, especially at the price point compared to some other options out there

Post a pic of your home espresso setup...
This refresh brought to you by La Marzocco (and a lighter wallet). The Pico just showed up yesterday and will likely be sent off to a friend with my old BDB, but I wanted to try it out. {image}

La Marzocco Linea Micra
The App is quite buggy. Have you confirmed the settings were applied? If so yeah I'd try again tomorrow and see what happens. I haven't monitored very closely on the exact timing but mine definitely goes into standby per my settings

La Marzocco Linea Micra
Yeah, if both lights are on it's on. Did you manually put it in standby or did you just add a schedule?

920XL going to Breville for repair - do I need to return stock parts?
I would try and put the original parts back in. I'm not sure if they care but frequently when they "repair" they machine they just send a replacement back, so there's a chance even if they will replace you won't get your parts back

La Marzocco Pico
I have a Pico coming, though it's currently on back order. I only bought it because of the deal with the Micra and since it was effectively getting a Pico at a severe discount it was worth the plunge. My main grinder is a Monolith Flat (pre Shuriken) but figured it would either A) be a decent grinde...

Breville Dual Boiler - Pavlis water TDS reading
Only adjustment to this would be regarding the higher TDS from the hot water tap. The BDB pulls hot water from the brew boiler, not the steam boiler like most other machines. So the high reading is just due the lack of temperature compensation

La Marzocco Linea Micra owner reviews
As stated above. Us coffee people just have to keep things confusing, so we can tell by your lingo how hardcore you are

How to manage temperature without expensive kettle?
This is what I did prior to getting my EKG. Had a cheap dial thermometer, calibrated it and then drilled a small hole in the lid of the kettle. It worked great, and the analog dial thermometer is plenty fast to keep up with the rising water temps

Breville Dual Boiler - Which year's model is better ?
Yeah that appears to be the one. I'm guessing they are the same, but since the first link says it's for the BES900 it would be worth asking for a part number before buying to confirm it will work with the 920
