Does descale remove 100% of scale?
It depends on how you do it. Just dumping in some descale chemical and letting it sit and then rinsing it? Probably not; for a double boiler machine like that the best solution is to never let it scale up in the first place. Second is lots of scrubbing and rebuilding

Help me with Rancilio Classe 8 power installation
Congrats on that machine, it's pretty sweet. I don't see Classe's very often but it's always nice when I do. Are you doing a cafe?

Coffee too fresh?
Yeah new "new" coffee acts really strangely. We do in-house roasting for about 6 varieties, 4 single origin, 2 blends. I'm not involved in it in any way, the bags show up and we drink them. So they're very consistent, these are beans that I'm familiar with after months and months. One time there was...

How do high end grinders perform better?
I've read that flat and conical have slightly different taste profiles in the final result, with flat better for fruitiness and clarity and conical better sweetness and chocolateynesstivity. In practice I haven't noticed a lot of difference, but I'm not as much into the fruity flavours anyway

Upgrade to Baratza Sette 270?
Just as a note, the Sette is not what I'd consider quiet. It's blazing fast compared to the other Baratzas, so it's making noise for less time, but it has a higher pitched, more piercing operation noise

Calling on any real electrical engineers
The more I read about Japan's weird power grid the more agog I am. Is there any other country that does this? I can't imagine the infrastructure costs to businesses for producing two sets of product for the same demographic
