Bravo Tamper vs Force Tamper - what's more foolproof?

Oh well. I'm still glad for him... his product has deserved more attention and better distribution for a while now

Bravo Tamper vs Force Tamper - what's more foolproof?

I have owned the original Bravo Tamper v1 and also ordered and used the newer/currentish model to work with the non standard basket sizes on the Dalla Corte Mina. Both Bravo Tampers are flawless in construction and basically idiot proof. The new ones are much lighter, but that's the only difference....

Niche Zero vs Lagom P64

I just want to add that I have Niche Zero and a low-retention flat with 83mm SSP burrs, and the difference in flavor from the same beans and the same brew ratio / shot time is astounding. The Niche Zero is very "fruit forward" and packs a punch that cuts through nicely with milk drinks. The 83mm flat

How capable are E61 double boilers after all? (e.g. Lelit Bianca)

I have only had a Bianca for about 3 days now, but the shot body, clarity, and flavor profile is so crisp -- and even tunable -- thanks to the flow profiling. I would say the Bianca produces a wider variety of flavors and body than the Dalla Corte Mina I used to own, and at about 1/3 the

Lelit Bianca User Experience

To be clear... did you mean to say the Vario, the grinder OP currently has? Or is there really some evidence that the Ceado in question, an 83mm flat burr grinder with super short grind path and excellent alignment +/- optional SSP burrs just isn't sufficient, when somehow the Lagom P-64 or Monolith...

Rocket Appartamento vs Lelit MaraX

If they're the same price, the Lelit Mara X is going save you a lot of water (it'll do the temperature surfing for you) and it will have superior steaming capability. I don't recall if the Mara X is plumbable (it probably is) but the Appartamento definitely isn't. And you have to flush a lot of water

Older Quickmill Vetrano 2B Evo... is this a good deal?

No one can really value the machine unless they can take a look inside. If this machine is 3 years old and was used plumbed-in somewhere with 11 grains per gallon of hardness without any inline filtration, I would pass. If it's been used exclusively with filtered water and you can peek at it before ...

Elektra T1 - no water from grouphead

I would like to, but I don't know the specifics. Once I saw I would have to unsolder the copper fittings I stopped, asked for help, and paid someone to do it. If I had a torch and a garage workbench, I would maybe attempt it myself. I was charged $300 to descale the totally scaled flowmeter

Used Quickmill Vetrano 2B vs. Rocket R58

My first real espresso machine was a Lucca M58 from Clive Coffee, which is a rebrand of a QuickMill Vetrano 2B. It made excellent espresso very easily and I never even had to so much as open the case for any reason. Since then I've owned an Elektra T1, La Marzocco Linea Mini, Rocket Apartamento, La

Elektra T1 - no water from grouphead

Just a fun fact, the Elektra T1 does not have a lower gasket. The T1 group is E61-like but just different enough that different parts are required
