[SOLD] Kinu M38

Hey all, I'm selling my Kinu M38. It has few months' use; I started using it in August, churning out about three 18 gram shots a day, on average. The grinder is in great shape: functionally as-new, and nary a scratch on it. I l'll ship it in the original box, along with the dust cover and spare o-ri...

Some fun mods for a Nuova Simonelli MDX

Nice work! I have a Zenith and while it does have 3mm notch cut into the body under the grind adjustment knob, this is not as precise as it could be. The action of the knob itself is very deliberate and tight so I was surprised that while they have precise markings on the knob, the notch on the grin...

Espresso always sour

I raise the brew temperature from the baseline 200°F to at least 203°F and sometimes more for acidic coffees that don't respond to increasing extraction through grind size. Some batches, many of which from Africa, I have learned not even to bother with such preli...

Cold-brew "espresso"

I've tasted our cold brew concentrate on many occasions and also had the idea of serving it undiluted. I really like the taste of it. That said I would not market or advertise it as "espresso". It's strong but quite unlike espresso. The flavors are more muted, less sharp. More of a knee than an elbo...

Baratza Vario or Sette 270?

Profitec Pro 300 team unite! I say the same thing to my wife the same number of times a day. I also have a hand grinder that I also get tired of using on the 3rd shot that I'm also replacing with an electric grinder! Kindred spirits, I suppose

Nice set up. I see you made a grip-mod to your Kinu. I did the same. In addition to rubber bands, I wrapped mine in kinesiology tape. Not sure if that made a difference, though it does protect the machined finish
