Got new thermostat, can't find instructions on how to install
What Spopinski said: Hold firmly, wiggle a bit, and pull apart; no 'special' or any tools required. The clear blue bits are just covers over the connections. This is easy; you CAN do it; and you could probably do it even if it wasn't easy. You've gotta start somewhere and this is as

Gaggia Classic boiler on old Gaggia Dandy
I don't know of any pressure relief on the steam valve. I don't see that the one you attached a picture of says that it is 'adjustable', but maybe it is. Have you tried adjusting the pressure? That will be the test. The one that you originally had at the inlet to the boiler

Gaggia Classic boiler on old Gaggia Dandy
Was that red case from your first pictures the original Dandy? I just found this picture, which although fuzzy, I think shows that pressure valve mounted in the floor of the Dandy's cabinet {image}

Gaggia Classic boiler on old Gaggia Dandy
Yeah, the Dandy didn't seem to have much of a following. It's too bad you removed the OPV on the boiler inlet. It is adjustable, which the one you have on the pump is not. Unfortunately they are both 'over pressure valves', so they get confabulated, but the one you have now is a safety

And, if that's the case, it may be possible to trace a wire from that to the power. I will look at it later, but maybe you want to start in on it. This picture is extra confusing because I took it after I added the PID so there are even more wires, but it might help.

Gaggia Classic boiler on old Gaggia Dandy
Ooof....It's been so long since I actually had the Dandy. I do have some pictures, and one of them may help with your question about the water, but I'm afraid I can't experiment and tell you much about lights on or off. The attached picture is labelled "Dandy has a pressure sensor in the reservoir",...

Gaggia Classic boiler on old Gaggia Dandy
This is a question, not an answer. The Dandy I had years ago came to me (yes, used) without an OPV. The necessary inlet was available, but I had to add the OPV. Did yours come with the adjustable OPV already installed or was that your doing? {image} {image}

1996 Coffee Gaggia Restoration
Nice job. You say 'no leaks'; does that mean you gasketed it, closed it up, and put it under pressure and....'no leaks'? If so, I'd say you can move forward and see if the rest of the restoration goes to your liking. (The pitting doesn't go anywhere; all of the upper portion of the boiler is

1996 Coffee Gaggia Restoration
Sorry, but the availability of parts is not something I know much about anymore, but you can probably find something that you can make work. Once again the picture I am posting is not a Coffee (it's a very old Baby), but you can see how you will want the OPV to attach to the boiler inlet
