Economical "bean cellars"...
Since we're talking espresso, I (and every shop I've spoken to) is firmly in the camp of "don't change your dose." Your dose is dictated by your basket size and the popular dial in method now is that you keep the dose constant and only change yield and grind size. However, these bean cellars aren't ...

Orion Bean Counter by acaia
This would be nice if you had 2 or 3 next to each other and if each one had a 10kg hopper instead of a tiny 2kg hopper. You could essentially have 1 guy bagging up a lot of coffee at once then another sealing. I don't think this will see much use on bars especially not for

Orion Bean Counter by acaia
At SCA this year, acaia launched a new product, the acaia orion. {link} Looks like a really handy tool for roasters. I am curious if they will ever have a 5kg hopper option. 2kg hopper is kind of small for most even small scale roasters who are looking to use the machine to weigh out bagged coffee

Troubleshooting roast off flavors guide
As far as overly acidic coffees go, I'd recommend not necessarily going with more heat in the beginning but possibly going for a higher charge temp but lower heat application throughout. A higher charge temp will keep that inner/outer differential high and will allow you to use less heat in the dryi...

Neighbors complaining about loud pump - Considering an upgrade. Suggestions?
I'm not sure how your pump is mounted, but it should have a rubber bushing on the mount that helps to prevent vibrations from traveling through the machine. If the pump itself is loud, you could do something radical like lining the inside of your case with a self adhesive sound deadening sheet. I do...

Neighbors complaining about loud pump - Considering an upgrade. Suggestions?
+1 you can probably find one at HD/Lowes easily. I would imagine it's an issue with vibrations traveling through the counter and studs in the wall rather than the actual noise of the pump

Freshness & batch brewing
I really want to try putting a tap/faucet on a keg. Brew into a keg that's attached to a nitrogen line. When it's done brewing, cap the keg, then turn the gas on an flush the keg. Keep it pressurized to 3 psi maybe. I wonder if filling the headspace with nitrogen would keep it fresher.
