[SOLD] Kafatek Monolith Flat v1
Hello, I am going to be moving into a much smaller space soon and now have need to sell my trusty espresso setup. The monolith has some minor browning on the laser etched grind marks due to use, the grinder has been used for the last 4 years at about 36g of coffee per day nearly every day. The

[SOLD] M&V Vesuvius (Orange County, CA)
Hello, I am going to be moving into a much smaller space soon and now have need to sell my trusty espresso setup. The Vesuvius is in good condition, recently serviced by a local commercial espresso shop, I've never had any issues with it and have owned it for about 5 years. It does have a fresh screen

[SOLD] Compak F10 Polished
Hey guys, Looking to sell my Compak F10 Polished Conical Grinder. I purchased this in June of 2017 and used it for about 6 months before picking up a Kafatek Monolith Flat. It's been sitting on the counter since then. The burrset has very little use. I paid $2450 from Chris Coffee at the time of

[SOLD] Compak F10 Conical Grinder
Below is a Compak F10 Conical grinder. It has under 1000 doubles ground through it. I used it for 6 months before I decided to purchase a Kafatek Monolith. The grinder is in excellent working condition and has been completely cleaned. I no longer have original packaging, it does however include the ...

Monolith Flat early impressions
I can echo Perppersass's experience with distribution. My WDT technique created occasional spritzes as well. Once I started stirring a little more rigorously and randomly rather than in the same pattern (also finishing in the center) I could much more easily get consistent pours. I have used the sam...

Monolith Flat early impressions
I have about 7-8 pounds of coffee through mine, maybe a bit more. I haven't noticed too much of a grind change. Denis did specifically say in the email he sent me with my test report that the grinder will tend to move 2 or more major numbers finer to get the same grind as when you started

My favorite roasters so far
The only time I have gotten a flavor that I would say I have gotten a flavor that fits fig is in americanos and cappuccinos, it typically takes a watered down espresso in some form to get that flavor profile. I normally drink it in straight espresso, it is certainly a very light roast, however it ca...

My favorite roasters so far
+1 on the George Howell recommendations throughout this thread. I am also a huge fan of Temple Coffee. Mainly ordering Kenyans or Ethiopians. One for straight espresso and one for milk based drinks. The Kirindundu from George Howell is my go to right now

Monolith Flat early impressions
It's terribly hard to measure this considering you aren't entirely sure if the retention is coffee or water, or what ratio of each. With that being said one spray from the included bottle adds .1g. I've noticed about .1g of retention consistently (If I include that .1g of water in the measurement). ...

Monolith Flat early impressions
I'm only on my third day with my flat but I have nothing but good things to say about it. For the exception of RDT I would say a lot of people posting workflows with the Monolith honestly haven't changed to a more complicated setup because of the grinder, typically they are already doing WDT or othe...
