Mazzer ZM burrs vs EK43 burrs
Hi there, I am considering getting the EK43S for both espresso and filters, is that something doable? My understanding is that EK43 do well for both specialty coffee beans in both espresso and filter ranges. My question is then why is the Mazzer ZM burrs only comes in espresso or filter burr sets? W...

Hi all, Many thanks for the perspective. Sorry, I posted it and totally forgot about this post until today! Is there such thing as ethical milk production?
Hi, First off I am not trolling. This is a question that I have been trying to find since I got to know how milk production works. To produce milk, the cow has to have given birth to a calf and taken away and to keep the cow from producing milk for a long time, I believe hormones or

Water in or water out for TDS/extraction calculation
Whoah, I didn't konw immersion is so complicated. Do you have a link as to why its calculated like that? So for immersion we are talking about aeropress and french press? So the ratio is always dry beans vs brew water total. So for 280 g and 15 g beans the ratio is 18.67 and not 250 (water out)/15

Water in or water out for TDS/extraction calculation
Thanks for the clarification. In that case would the Water to bean ratio should also be water out/bean? So if I use 280 g to 15 g beans but water out is 250 g. The ratio would be 250/15? [Sorry for the bad typing.. hate it with self correct on the phones!]

Water in or water out for TDS/extraction calculation
Sorry if this has been discussed. We know that extraction% is a function of TDS. That is Water/grams of bean * TDS = extraction% For pourover, would water be the amount of water we put in or the amount of water the comes out? Obviously the extraction% would be very different

Baratza Sette 30 AP for pourover
Thanks for the reply, I thought of going Virtuoso. However, my brand new Preciso broke 3 times within 1.5 years, even though I follow the instructions to gind and adjus! The plastic parts really weak, which is why I was not looking at Virtuoso since it was effective a Preciso without macro adjustmen...
