Jumping Lever
I purchased the machine new and have not had the group apart. The seals are the original ones and at around 3 months old. The jumping lever happens with no portafilter in place, with a cold machine and with a pressurized machine. The machine holds pressure without issue and group water has apparentl...

Jumping Lever
Hi. My Pavoni Stradivari has two points in the piston travel both ways where the lever loses resistance like the piston seal breaking. I immediately noticed this unexpected functioning when using the machine for the first time but ignored it because the coffee is good. A few months later the jumping...

Domestic Lever Group Flange Bolt Pattern
I will. When pressure testing and flushing my machine I was impressed by the force of the water coming from the group and imagine this should make for a tasty cup. Thanks for the link. I'm thinking you and I may have the same group and the Ponte Vecchio seals may fit. The machine shown rebuilt here ...

I suppose that with the heat from the water soaking into the heavy frame and body through the group, a suitable water temperature at the coffee is achieved at a higher pressure to the group, relative to a machine with a lesser heatsink. I guess that this higher pressure would make for a tastier (wha...

Domestic Lever Group Flange Bolt Pattern
I will try the Ponte Vecchio basket. I plan to swap in a Elektra Leva group at some point, partly because I already have some matching portafilters and baskets. With the group and boiler mated to opposite sides of the firewall and not to each other, I suppose one could mount group heads with differe...

max, I recently came into a machine called "La Romana Automatica" similar to your club machine but haven't had a chance to fiddle with. I have the same Zacconi shaped group but figured it was an earlier thermosyphon design. I think my machine was built in the early sixties. Are you sure there is onl...

rpavlis, Thanks for the approximate measurement. Thanks for the warning about cutting PTFE. Did you polish the cut surface of the Ultem to prevent splinters? I am working with a thermosyphon group and don't care to to reduce heat exchange at the group flange. I am considering the interchangeability ...

Nice boiler max. I like the asbestos insulation. Does your thermosyphon group have threaded nipples; {image} or, does it seal flush with the firewall like the Elektra group? {image} What portafilter do you use on this machine?

It would seem that Ponte Vecchio and the Elektra Leva use a similar spec, as per this: "Elektra Microcasa a Leva temperature stability upgrade" Am I pretty close in estimating the distance between holes at around 35mm?
