Hobart KitchenAid A9

Posted once about my fascination with the Hobart KitchenAid grinder here: "Let's see vintage electric grinders" The rafino filters did not get the grind in the zone so I had to try new burrs that others have had sucess with after adjusting the A9 by removing the screw that will let you get the burrs...

The connoisseur coffee website list the strength of the coffees that they roast. {link} My experience is that it is a good guide but I don't know how they determine the strength? The single origin listings might help you. And the blends no help at all unless you shop there. I don't think that they

KRUVE sifter - First impressions

KRUVE sifter - First impressions

2 ounce shot for 2 single 1 ounce lattes. Tonight I pulled a 2oz shot in 70 seconds. I used 16.55 grams for espresso, 900um to 350um filters again. The pre-infusion was doubled to 30 seconds.
