New buyer of espresso machine and grinder, budget $500
I sure love my Starbucks coffee, I'm sure there is better out there and I'm excited to try new brands. From a lot of what I've read on forums the Gaggia Classic is a very popular entry level machine as well, so I now have myself wondering if maybe that would be a better purchase than the Breville Duo

Well then... That's pretty funny. Everyone here has been very helpful and I appreciate it. I just need to dive in and learn and if I enjoy it as much as I think I will I can worry about slowly upgrading down the road. I appreciate everyone's input, thank you very much. It certainly seems like the grinder matters a whole lot more than the machine so I will take that into account and reassess what I wanted there. I did a bit of research on the Lido hand grinder and it does seem like something that will work for me ...
