I'm sorry, I didn't explain myself very well. In my mind, there are so many users of Artisan, and it's so highly respected/suggested, that I would (incorrectly) assume that there would be comprehensive documentation regarding the use. Ha! I figured it out. For whatever reason, both the background color and LED color were set to black. Black-on-Black = nothing showing!

Thank you so much! I looked all over for that.... So, here's how you properly trash a roast. Rolled right through 1C into 2nd without even blinking an eye. Someone needs to figure out heat control ASAP. I dropped at 397°F according to the PID, but Artisan indicates that it was 429°F? I then realized...

I did a few things to see if any of the noise is external to the program. ~Checked that the roaster chassis was grounded...

Just finished up my 4th roast on a new roaster. I'm just seasoning the drum and trying to get a feel for what's going on (I came from a 100g open-barrel sample roaster). Managed to make a dog's lunch out of this roast... {image}
