I got mine in today, only used it a couple times but I'm very impressed. Very easy to use. Filled with milk, pressed the button, pulled espresso, and turned back to find I got excellent microfoam with oat milk on the first use. I'm no pro latte art barista but this passes the test, imo. I thought cl...

Taste n Learn: turbo shots, light roast edition.
I ask because my experience is different than yours with the ssw burrs I'm currently using. Longer PI, lengthier extractions in general create a muddier overall presentation. The fast 1:2.5-3 extractions in 15 or so seconds result in more vibrant acidity and pretty clear flavors. That's why I asked ...

Londinium/General Lever - Yeet & Turbo Shots
I'd lower the PI pressure rather significantly and adjust the grind as necessary to keep the same extraction time or even a bit faster. The flow will be fast and perhaps ugly but shouldn't really be messy

Lever espresso machine configuration
This strikes me as something that has been thought about a lot but never actually tested in practice. If I attempted to pull the type of shot described above with long PI, a first pull and then a second follow up pull, at least with the grinders I've used and the coffees I like, the result would ind...

Taste n Learn: turbo shots, light roast edition.
I'm looking forward to seeing how it develops over the next couple of weeks. I didn't quite get the citrus in these first couple of pulls. Tomorrow I'll play with the variables a bit and see if I can dial in the fruit notes. I was trying to identify the flavors earlier and thought I was getting a red

I opened the Caballero Gesha this morning and pulled a couple of shots, both excellent. Very clean, immediate rounded sweetness, definite floral / jasmine notes, finishes clean without any noticeable astringency or bitterness. Really enjoyable overall and I think a coffee that lends itself nicely to...

I think it is still on the early side. Not to say these will necessarily become stellar coffees, but I wouldn't freeze them just yet. I'm currently working on the Kenyans that came in October and September and they're both drinking really well, at the moment. Neither have seen the freezer

Taste n Learn: turbo shots, light roast edition.
My roasts just hit a couple weeks old. I decided to start with the Cabalerro SL28. My roast is batch 15. Predominant notes for me over past few days are strawberry and raspberry. Some hints of the chocolate mentioned on the bag, as well as some green/herbal notes on the finish. Using a Strietman CT2...
