La Marzocco GS3 MP - No STEAM
First a disclaimer: a little alarm went off in my head when you say "I have direct wired since my switch went bad and melted and I havent found a affordable replacement" the power switch should probably be addressed since that is an issue for safety and liability of all the powered parts in your GS3...

EKG Kettle Finishes (Polished Chrome vs Matte)
I was gifted a matte black Stagg EKG end of last year, and can definitely vouch for the cleanliness of the finish. They did a great job matching the hue/finish of the black base to the body as well, it's all seamless and I'm quite satisfied with it!

[SOLD] Mahlkonig K30 Air w/ Short Hopper, Coated Burrs, extras
My beloved (and home use only) grinder is now for sale! I bought this grinder direct from Mahlkonig USA in early 2016 and have enjoyed every single espresso out of it. Seeing as it was used daily for 1-4 espresso shots, I'd estimate ~130lbs have gone through it. Meticulously cleaned + cared for but ...

My Slayer single group
Hey Dave, this is a helpful data point to compare to other owners, thanks! Mine only measures 214g in 30 seconds (at 19% pump pressure, 3 bar inlet pressure). I think the value depends on quite a few factors including the temperature of the brew boiler (in my own anecdotal testing, flow rate can cha...

La Marzocco diffuser screw redesigned
Interested to read your findings! Stock Slayer screw seems identical to LM, and water dispersion seems uneven a majority of the time

Using water debit to adjust espresso brewing parameters
Your posts may be technical, but they add tremendous value to the conversation. In your opinion, what variable(s) would you adjust first to address a shot that chokes? This happens often for shots on my Slayer (18g in an 18g VST basket, prebrew water debit is 55g/30sec) where the pressure gauge is a...

Slayer Single Group "Brew Fill"
Agree with the above, when I need to precharge or check the accumulator I use a high pressure shock pump with a built-in pressure gauge. I have never seen the "Brew Fill" message myself; I use the Shurflo mini boost system (includes an 8025 Shurflo pump) and I precharge the accumulator to ~35psi (I ...
