Is Bunafr Roaster Legit?
Hi everyone, I'm very curious about this roaster. Has anyone received theirs yet (if it's true that 50 people are getting theirs on Nov). I'm saving up for the Aillio Bullet, but since that has too big a footprint and batch size, I wonder if the Bunafr will fit the bill better for me. Living in

Yunnan Coffee ??
I used to live in China and got coffee from Yunnan often. There are some specialty growers there who do very high quality small batch processing, but it's only worth it if you're local (within China/SE Asia). With that said, the caveat to Yunnan coffee is that a lot of the growers still use the cati...

SSP Multipurpose V1 versus V2 - Amazing Difference!?
I agree with you 100%!!!! I also wondered why Fellow decided to use the red speed MP V2 when their grinder isn't even supposed to do espresso lol. It probably had to do with SSP's decision to stick with one version for all 64mm markets which meant cheaper component cost for fellow. I ordered it dire...

SSP Multipurpose V1 versus V2 - Amazing Difference!?
Haha, I know exactly what you mean. Not bitter - perhaps dry/tannic? Because the brew doesn't have much body, even the small amount of dryness/bitterness from these burrs seem quite noticeable even though it's minimal. This is how I experienced the Guatemala when making batch/single serve at the caf...

SSP Multipurpose V1 versus V2 - Amazing Difference!?
Sharing this as a potential discovery or perhaps an attempt at confirmation bias lol I've been using a Fellow Ode with SSP MP for over a year, and there has always been a nagging "dirtiness" let's say to the finish of the coffee's I've been drinking. While I used to roast on my own on the Huky, since

Best 64 mm SSP burrs for high clarity/brightness light roast espresso
For clarity & brightness in espresso, you can go with the 64mm MP v2 or the cast burrs (Lab Sweet). The high uniformity is great but you already have a Niche so that would be redundant. The difference between the MP V2 and Lab Sweet is the character of the shot. While both have very good clarity and

Fellow Ode brew grinder review
My journey in pourover home grinding has beenlike this (since 2012): Hario Skerton -> Encore > Lido 2 -> Virtuoso -> Helor 101 -> Ode SSP MP Every step in the progression made an improvement. Really. I haven't tried the commandante myself, but i would gather that getting the Ode SSP MP would be a st...

Fellow Ode brew grinder review
Oh, I found a way around it by holding the wheel between the clicks. Just have to be firmer on the grip as it approaches chirp. 7 from touch is still finer than what I've been using (9-10 from touch), so that's good to know. I have the brew burrs (conventional?) installed on the Helor 101. I've

Fellow Ode brew grinder review
Here's the grind particle distribution comparison between my Helor 101 (26 dots) vs. the Ode SSP MP at 5 (10 clicks from touch). This is what works for me for 16g V60s. The helor isn't bad at all for a hand grinder, but the flat burrs are certainly more unimodal. It comes through in the cup. The only

Fellow Ode brew grinder review
Ah, I didn't know there were two versions. I'm not sure - it's whatever we used at the shop for batch/filter. I spent the better part of today aligning the burrs. Can't tell whether there is much improvement...I probably did it wrong. I'm wondering because I didn't do the stepless mod yet, the click...
