La Marzocco Linea Mini IoT installation
I've found the pre brew really helps with allowing to grind finer. Following a shop's advice I'm doing 4 on 4 off for most. I also really like the digital adjustment to the temp. Though I learned you need to keep the dial down at like 195 and don't ever accidentally move it. It competes with the board

Do you keep your kettle warm?
I follow the process from my local shop who produces some very sweet, clear, flavorful pour overs from a different array of SO beans. He uses a water tower set at boiling then dispenses into a warmed kalita tall pour over kettle ( {link} ). The water drops perfectly to 200-204 degrees and then start...

Yes Barazta has a pre-packaged 'kit' for upgrading the vario to be Forte-ish. They will do it for you, or you can follow the videos online. it's not too bad. I went from the espresso burrs to steel burrs as I just wanted to use the Vario for pourover and it made a amazing difference. My pour overs are

La Marzocco Linea Mini User Experience
I can not for the life of my achieve the same quality in cup on my LMLM as my local shop gets with a Linea PB with true pre-infusion. Same grinder (mythos clima), same water (literally), same coffee, same temp (as best as one can do with that), same dose, same PF, same extraction, same time, etc. Gr...

Really? That'd be huge if it shared similar tech to allow for programming a real pre-infusion. Where did they announce that?

It's probably they realized it dripped when the value was opened and it was cheaper to just call it pre-infusion otherwise you'd think it would actually be programmed in like the bigger Lineas. Pump on low for x - off for y - back on. But srsly, we know better than to call it pre-infusion right?

1 second of pre-wetting (it's not pre-infusion) isn't going to do make any difference... and it's almost impossible to test. You have to let the machine sit for a while to ensure there won't be any drips left but even then you won't know for certain when you turn it on. Then to get the drips you hav...
