Is ecafecanada.com closed?

A bit of west coast input here I have no experience buying roasters in Canada but for machine purchases I have had great experience with local (Vancouver) suppliers - previously La Cimbali and currently La Marzocco & Mazzer. I may have paid a bit more than online pricing but the service I get has be...

Owner experience with Bezzera Strega

Chris, So there ya go. I've found that if I have an issue with a hard working, Canadian based suppliers price points, a bit of sandpaper and elbow grease is a worthy solution, even if a bit of brass shows through. If I want perfection I'm willing to pay the price. Cheers, Ian

Owner experience with Bezzera Strega

Spend the $$ on a hole saw and make your own if the supplied price point is an issue. I cut mine in about 2 minutes and it works perfectly. Home Depot sells the parts!!

La Marzocco Espresso-only Shot Brewer

My machine was set up by my local rep - they had it in their showroom for a month or so. They told me the offset is roughly 4 degrees - a 202 readout is aprox 198 at the head. The shots taste great which is what I go by. I'm at pacific coast sea level and in Canada to

La Marzocco Espresso-only Shot Brewer

Congrats on the Sb - that makes at least 2 of us home users in N America. If you're using the supplied LM baskets you need a finer grind than for most others - these are VST baskets without the barcode - I have both and they perform the same. I've found they work the best when loaded to

La Marzocco Espresso-only Shot Brewer

Sorry for the slang, the english in me, - yes it's hard to pull a bad shot. I've never used a classic E61 so I can't compare shot density though from what I understand the La Marzocco profile is close to the E61 and is 'rounder' than my Cimbali Jr shot profile. It's very much like a classic lever shot
