Blind shaker better than WDT??

I've been using the LW shaker version for probably 6 years or so. I like the shakers consistency, workflow better than WDT. I can't really say one is tastier than the other. When my WDT is dialed in they're very close in taste. But I shake, not stir 99% of the time with everything from Passenger & W...

Shaking a dosing cup and then leveling vs. WDT

I've tried different WTDs over the years. Barista Hustle being my latest. I keep going back to my LW Blind Shaker. I give it more of a twisting wrist action as to try to get the grounds to turn over inside vs. back and forth. I also put the tumbler on a Decent Funnel so the grounds have a chance

Layout for new kitchen setup

I've got 6' of width. I didn't buy custom depth cabinets, instead I just furred the cabinets off the wall to give me 30" of depth. There's an end panel on the right bank of drawers that is deeper to cover the void behind the cabinets. I'm in the restaurant industry, so we are typically working with ...

Bunn G9 alignment

We've got a portion control Bunn G9 grinder at work and I'd love to improve its burrs and/or alignment. Does this machine work for Bunzilla instructions? Does SSP make a good burr set for it? Thanks, JB {link}

Struggling with filtered water being corrosive.

Here's a pick of my water analysis prefiltered. I've been using a BWT BestMax Premium but it's causing corrosion, little blue green floaties in the brew boiler water. I haven't sent off the filtered water for testing but my in-house test show a drop to 95 ppm TDS and 6.4 pH. I've got the filter set ...

New Coffee Bar Design Ideas

When I wired mine, I pulled two 20 amp circuits. One for the fridge, water kettle, grinders and one for the espresso machine. The one for the espresso machine, I pulled 12g Three Wire so that in the future, if I needed 240v, all I had to do was change the breaker and plug

La Marzocco GS3 MP - No STEAM

I've got a 2014 machine and had to replace the Solid State Relays for both boilers. Brew boiler in 2019 ($39.99) and the steam boiler ($59.99) last week. My how inflation has sky rocketed. Same part. Same company. If you have a multi-meter, it's pretty easy to test if that's your problem. If you kno...
