What is wow'ing you?
Wanted to give a shout out to the folks at Blazing Bean for their Luna-tic Espresso Blend. Had it for the first time and think it's a great blend if you like a classic medium darker roast with huge body and nutty chocolate. Great as a straight shot or with milk. I know there is a dedicated

Thanks Blazing Bean! (Lunatic Espresso)
Got my Lunatic last week and started pulling it yesterday. I really like this coffee. Mine is on the darker end of a medium roast - full city? Huge crema and body. Delightful as a straight shot or with milk. Kristen from Blazing Bean also threw in a sample of a new espresso they are

My favorite roasters so far
I visited the Nossa roastery/cafe in Portland last week. The guys there were great - super nice and even pulled shots for me to try a couple of blends during the busiest time in the morning. I'm a fan and love the Full Cycle!

Coffee Stops During Portland Trip
I'm heading to Portland for business this week and have a very small window to pick up some coffee beans to take home. I was thinking Heart Roasters Stereo Blend since I haven't tried it yet. I had some Nossa Full Cycle last week via mail order and thought it was excellent. We are using a Linea

Coffees with good chocolate/caramel flavor
I see you reference the Linea Mini being 4 degrees off group vs. dial setting. Is this something that I missed somewhere? Are most people keeping an offset to compensate for some inaccuracy? Sorry if this is slightly off-topic but it may help me to dial in this coffee. Thanks

Coffees with good chocolate/caramel flavor
Can you tell me how you are pulling the Comfort Coffee on the Linea. I was trying it with 19G in an 18G VST at 201 - 30G out in 28-30S on my LMLM. It seemed a little ashy and a bit bright/sour. I know he recommends some longer shots on the Ethiopians he roasts but I

New Baratza Vario W spritzer issues
I talked to Baratza a couple of times this week and they are not sure what's going on. They said that they usually don't replace the burrs on the refurb units but they have no idea how long the unit has been used. There's even a chance that the unit may have been returned with no use at

New Baratza Vario W spritzer issues
Same as always. Never had issues with the K30. Dump 18G from the Vario hopper into my bottomless portafilter, distribute, tamp and pull. This is not a minor spritzer issue. I've got coffee going everywhere and coating the face of my machine (LMLM). Thanks

New Baratza Vario W spritzer issues
I just received a "refurbished" Vario W that I purchased from the Baratza website and can't seem to get it to grind properly. I can get nothing but spritzers going every direction for the first few seconds and then a quickly blonding fast flow from the center of my bottomless portafilter. The first ...

Coffees, Blends, and Roasts that aggravate the stomach.
I've definitely noticed this with my stomach. I haven't been able to nail down the cause but some coffees have my stomach in knots all day after a double in the morning; milk drink or straight shot, it doesn't matter
