Option-O 98mm Mizen Burrs - User Experience

Yeah that sounds strange to me. My brew burrs aren't savory or muddy at all. Everything comes out delicate and tea like with clean and crisp acidity and a short aftertaste (again, similar to tea). I usually do 12g/215ml with a tbt avg of 2-3min. Tds varies depending on bean and age but usually 1.3-1...

XBloom all-in-one coffee brewer (Kickstarter)

There seems to be an issue with Hoff's unit and how calibration is working. On their Discord server, it's suspected because he's using a 120v 60hz unit in a 50hz environment (despite using a transformer). That's not my area of expertise so take it as you will. My xBloom extracts really high from the...

[SOLD] Royal R220 Ghost Burr Coffee Grinder (San Jose, CA)

For sale is my Fuji Royal R220. Works great. Probably will out live me. This was the grinder for my batch brews but since getting the xBloom it won't see any use. I'm including a 100V step-down converter/transformer such that it will run on Japan voltage. $450 local pickup only in San Jose, CA I *ma...

Ikawa Home Cleaning Regimen?

Does anyone have a regular cleaning regimen for their Ikawa Home outside of cleaning the lid? The manual is very sparse with regards to cleaning, unlike the Pro model. Are we supposed to follow the instructions in the Pro version?

Brewing with SSP 98mm "Brewing" Burrs

What do you mean you touched the burr? What happened? It REALLY depends on the bean and the amount of rest it has gotten, but currently while brewing Manhattan Pepe Jijon (roasted 3/25) I am getting extractions around 1.6tds (12g/200ml) with my grind size at 6.4 using Timemore B75 and 155 filter. Us...

The Meticulous Home Espresso Machine (Kickstarter)

xBloom really knocked it out of the park with their campaign. I wonder if Meticulous could have something similar?

Flat burr grinder, not 98mm

MAX SLM burrs should be inherently forgiving, so maybe a different approach is needed? I don't think purchasing another grinder will improve good shot consistency if you're having issues with the MAX

Flat burr grinder, not 98mm

Top all-rounder burrs to me not 98mm are: SSP CastV2 64 Mythos 75 SLM 75 And, based on word of mouth EG-1 Core. Edit: The Bentwood should also be in consideration. I've tried the top 3 and they are all good, but my favorite is SLM 75. It can do dark roasts well, it can do light
