NanoFoamer PRO

I just double checked the Indiegogo for the NanoFoamer Pro. Shipping is still expected to be within the projection window of August-October

User Experience: Londinium Vectis

Has anyone adjusted the Mater pstat on their Vectis? Mine is slightly high and Reiss suggested I turn it down about 1/16 of a turn, but I can't see the markings on it and don't know if that means clockwise or counterclockwise. Btw, I've had nothing but amazing support from Reiss. My Compressa kept t...

The quest for the perfect ceramic travel mug

I had one, and loved it. It was the best travel mug I had found, hands down! Then...my older son took it to school one day a few years ago - filled with water! And, NO, he didn't ask. I really miss it

User Experience: Londinium Vectis

A second screen would be ideal. Pop off the dirty one and drop it in a Cafitza bath...while that's soaking, pop on the clean one and continue making espresso. Between cleaning, use an Espazzola after every session. I emailed Reiss a few questions yesterday (after receiving my unit the night before),...

LMWDP Rollcall

I think it's about time I declare myself an official "lever head". Started with a Silvia in 2003, moved on to an Alex Duetto about a decade later, then several years after that, got my first Londinium. An L1 Compressa. I just love the excellent performance and simplicity of the Compressa. I've had a...

Grinder / burr recommendation for someone who switches coffee a lot

Budget is very important here. Me, I'd say get a Kafatek Monolith Max with SSW burrs, or an MC 5 or 6... but that might be way out of your price range

How frequently do you switch up the roaster you buy from?

I buy my beans from a handful of roasters and "rotate" around depending on what I feel like drinking. I drink espresso almost exclusively, and while I like it straight and frequently have it that way, my typical drink is a flat white or, less often, a cortado. I buy anywhere between 12oz and 4lbs, a...

Blueberry (or any berry) bomb coffee recommendations?

Just ordered some of this. Curious what setup you have? I got 2 12oz bags. I'll be dialing it in on 2 Monolith Max grinders, one with SSW burrs and the other with SLM burrs...unless I am blown away by the shots from the first grinder. I can't imagine I'll be using my conical. Pulling shots on a Lond...

Upgrading from Rancilio Silvia

You can certainly do much better than the Mazzer Mini, but it should hold you for a while. At the moment, your limiting unit is the Silvia. So, I would suggest you continue with your plan of getting a more capable machine, then figure on your next upgrade being the grinder. I've gotten away from pum...

Kafatek Monolith Conical has gone through a major change...

Shurikones probably won't fit your Pharos. Regardless, Denis won't sell them to you for use in anything other than a Kafatek grinder
