When it does happen do you hear a muted/muffled vibe pump noise before the pump actually kicks in? Does this happen every time or just the first time you pull the lever in a session? If you don't have any mods for the pump pressure then it might be time to replace the pump? Mine currently has a

La Pavoni Europiccola with bong isolator - too cold?
Bong's Isolator is a commercial version and improvement to my original method of converting the La Pavoni Gen 2 groups to water heated groups. It's a great idea, and glad someone made it more accessible to the masses. In order to heat the group there is no need for flushing! Just move the lever up a...

Accidentally bought a La Pavoni Europiccola in 220v instead of 110v
I think all you need is a 110v element swap and cord end change. Everything else should be fine electrically. If you have an indicator light on your model it will be rather dim, but that's about it

"Homemade" Small roaster cyclone
Marcelnl, are you in Japan? I see the screen for the fan has Japanese writing on the label... I really like my chaff cyclone as I made something similar to that setup. Back to back roasts are so much easier now too

"Homemade" Small roaster cyclone
Update and evaluation: This chaff collector has been working great for my Kaldi Fortis (600g) roaster. Here are photos of the chaff after 15kg being roasted. (400-500g batches) The chaff bucket freshly opened. You'll see there is lots of room for the air circulation; a key to getting good particle f...

"Homemade" Small roaster cyclone
So far this cyclone has worked out great. All chaff stops at the collector stage with nothing out the end of the exhaust tube. When I drop a roast just turning up the fan speed to max and watching the roaster temp decrease I can be ready for the next roast quite quickly. Makes for great back

DIY Metal Cyclone Chaff Collector
Yeah, my fan is relatively quiet, although my cyclone is smaller than yours; that adds a little wind noise, but still quieter than the roaster. The fan's not great quality but it's relatively okay in balance. Yours has an easy to empty chaff jar; that should be nice. Mine is in a huge bucket and wit...

DIY Metal Cyclone Chaff Collector
Looks good. Reminds me of a Super Jolly grinder in stainless. I've really enjoyed my cyclone chaff collector. Even with small roasters they really work well; especially with variable air flow controls

I can understand that. I created a mod for the Pre-Millenium La Pavoni's to address the overheating group with successive shots, so I released the info for anyone to use as they saw fit. I wasn't about to do any commercial development, but thought some could benefit. Then some others took credit for...

Wow!!! I love the pressure gauge. Where did you tap into for that? It will be interesting to see what the pressure difference is with the inner spring there too
