Custom Astoria Fiore 2 group lever machine has finally landed!!
Hey William, a couple things. Regarding the loose shower screens, there's a trick to installing these and once they are bent in any way I find they're never the same again. Luckily they are neither expensive nor hard to find, OE and EP should have them in stock. My advice is get at least four so if ...

Custom Astoria Fiore 2 group lever machine has finally landed!!

Request for advice: how to outboard an espresso machine pump
OK, I think you will find the value in restoring your machine will be in furthering your education. As a beginner you will probably end up with more time and materials invested in the machine than you could see a return on if trying to sell. The insight you will gain through building it will improve...

If you can get into that gauge again and check the bourdon tubes for warpage I think you may find the reason the needles were skewed is freeze damage. With both needles permanently pegged I would seriously doubt their accuracy even with the needles removed and re-zeroed, and replacement gauges can b...

Custom Astoria Fiore 2 group lever machine has finally landed!!
Hi. Congrats on being the winning buyer of this machine. I saw this machine when a supplier of mine introduced me to Patrick and his roastery operation. Patrick was a great guy and I have no reason to doubt anything he said about this machine. I will say as an owner of an Astoria Sonia lever of simi...

Astoria Argenta SAE-1J
Alan, I have to say if you are reticent about spending $58 on a gasket this restoration I think you will find very painful. Please keep in mind these machines originally sold for several thousand and have a longevity and depreciation percentage comparable to automobiles. I didn't get up this morning...

Astoria Argenta SAE-1J
Here's a pic I pulled from Google of the non-Junior 1gp. Argenta AEP/SAE that came from this site. Thanks whoever you are. {image} The larger footprint is for a larger boiler that does better at pulling hot water for americanos without running out of steam. If you think yours is heavy... If you foll...

Sorry about the mess {image} {image} My kitchen is not pretty the coffee just gets done. The PB ABR and Mythos were both guests, now in storage. When they deliver I will be acquiring another Mythos for myself but the ABR is just out of my price range atm. I love the mythos so much I have to have it
