La Pavoni vs. Ponte Vecchio

I have owned both, and I reacted very differently to the individual machines. I have had a Ponte Vecchio Lusso for several years, and I think it is a great machine for making espresso and milk drinks-just superb from Day One and better from there. A few years into owing the Lusso I bought an older t...

Thought: Articulating steam wand for Ponte Vecchio Lusso?

I have owned many machines, and the Lusso steams great for me, better than any of my other machines-I think the got it right. I prefer to keep my Lusso as it is-but that's just me!

Zacconi Riviera Baby Lusso Shot Volume

Perhaps some water is getting around the seals and flowing back towards the boiler-do the seals fit quite snug around the piston? If not, OE has a method for shimming the piston

Ponte Vecchio Lusso for a Duetto owner or...?

I think the Lusso is totally up to a small party, as long as there is enough water in the boiler-and the steaming is spectacular. I have a nice pump machine, and the espresso I make on the Lusso is better, and easier, too

Ponte Vecchio Lusso for a Duetto owner or...?

Just an idiosyncratic thought on "quality of build" and the Lusso. I have heard some sight glasses were not centered in the cut-out window. But on my machine, a Lusso, I think this is intentional-the sight glass is not centered and in fact is hardly visible when viewed head-on. But it is perfectly c...

Ponte Vecchio Lusso for a Duetto owner or...?

"but the steam wand is bent at an angle, while the hot water wand is bent straight down." Both should point straight down. You might get enough adjustment to straighten it out by loosening the nut that fastens the wand to the steam valve. If that worked it could be an easy fix. And maybe a smiley st...
