ACS Minima Dualboiler leaking problem on the first day!

as I see only now your question... no, in my case (autofill circuit poor grounding, water filling completely the steam boiler and exiting, while still cold, out on the vacuum breaker!) the ACS did not respond to my inquiries, so I solved it locally! be prepared, or try by your own to contact the man...

HX E61 Mystery: Flow Control and Grouphead Temperature?

Strega is my preferred machine, but I am working for almost half a year with a Minima (DB, solenoid E61, and an ECM flow control device); following a 'tradition' of temperature profiles measurement, I've installed several K type T/C on the machine; I also had to find a solution for measuring group t...

ACS Minima Dualboiler leaking problem on the first day!

I had (sometimes I still have it!) kind of a similar problem - that is, an unusually large quantity of water leaking! it was the autorefill circuitry not functioning properly! while the boiler was not pressurised, the pumped 'cold' water is filling completely the boiler and exiting the vacuum breake...

Alternative for PID

in my configuration now, I have a few limitations and my hope is to have most of them solved by using your kit, including leva! so, I want to be able to have a preset preinfusion by profiling flow and pressure in time, all recorded, and fully accesible OTA; as I put it above: "...a pressure sensor at

Alternative for PID

> A lever machine with heat exchanger is miles beyond what leva! is designed for. It's for machines with water straight from the PID-controlled boiler and preferably not with E61 group (examples: Rancilio Silvia, Bezzera BZ09, ...). (well, it's some kind of an irony: one of the meaning of 'leva' in ...

Alternative for PID

@sandc: I am in EU, and I am quite interested in your kit! (late edit: I shall read the links in your above post #17) what I have to decide - I hope with your help - is, if there is and what would be a configuration suitable for my case! perhaps you can provide me with an

EtzMax preproduction run now available

so, in a point on to the outer burr inner surface, there is a (peripheral) force, and is this which is 'felt' by the poor bean and yes, the required torque applied to the outer burr is greater than if this would be applied to the inner burrs, for the same peripheral force; and also the inner surface

EtzMax preproduction run now available

IMO, this is not about the relative burr movement! being it relative to the beans or to the person outside... it is about on which burr is applied the driving/grinding force! and this force is proportional with peripheral speed and radius (RikC); that is, much greater when applied by the outer burr....

Bezzera Strega boiler refill problem

I had no such an experience, and I hope you can make some more measurements inside the machine: perhaps the wiring diagram would help (this is the R model with the tank only): {image} and the solenoid valve placement: {image} I would check the signal (line tension) from the brain box to the solenoid...

Owner experience with Bezzera Strega

sorry: at which very moment do you disengage the pump? ok, when the cylinder is half filled by the pump... but how is this positively identified? i didn't made many measurements of the free volume of water into the cylinder chamber (including the basket space above the puck - water is absorbed also ...
