A year with HG One

I dont RDT and instead of a typical WDT I use a small bar whisk $1 for 2 at a dollar store and stir the grounds in the tumbler before I dump it into the PF. Easy, not messy, quick and results are great

A year with HG One

I too love my HG One dearly. I have since tried numerous times to replace it or compliment it with something "better" but I have yet to find anything that perfromds so well for my needs (low waste and excellent quality with walk up simplicity). I have used and owned many commercial titans and they j...

Am I missing something by holding onto my lever espresso machine?

Having used many pump and lever machines I can't be any happier with my Strega lever. When I had my Vivaldi right beside the Strega I never used the Vivaldi. The way I prep and make shots the Strega is always more consistent and forgiving resulting in a good to very good shot every time. There is

Baratza Vario "Refurbished" or spend extra $100.00 on new?

Buy from Baratza direct. Refurb is as good as new when you buy it from them and Kyle over at Barazta deserves the business. They will look after you like no one else if something goes wrong

Upgrade Baratza Vario to Vario-W for ~$150?

But do you dose directly into the portafilter holder? Cause you cant do that with the W either. You would be paying for a scale that you don't use. Having said that I have a Forte and the scale is amazingly accurate

Is three tries typical for dialing in a grinder for espresso?

With most of my grinders, Vario, Forte, Mazzer Major, K10 Fresh to name a few it usually took me 3-4 tries to get it right. The K10 when dialed in needed less adjustments whereas the others needed daily fine tuning. With my HG One I almost always have a good first shot with most beans that I am

[SOLD] Bunn Trifecta MB

I'm sure I will regret this but selling my Bunn Trifecta MB. Arguably one of the best single cup brewers for home use. I love this and it's in very good condition. I just need to evaluate and pass on some items that aren't being used enough in my household.. After I got this I sold my Technivorm. Th...

Looking for Advice on Pod Machines

I have used all pod machines and for simplicity the Nespresso is pretty good. Does your friend prefer espresso, milk based or just coffee? Thats also a big deciding factor. If the answer is espresso then the Nespresso is probably the best choice. If they like a big cup of joe then the Keurig is the
